Week 8 (7/21 - 7/25)

Goals for the Week

Complete the major components needed to be shown in the presentation.
Work on a presentation outline and what functions need to be presented and explained.
Make the rest of the toolbar look as complete as possible to show the range of options that are available to the users.
Be prepared for the presentation and know what I need to be able to display appropriately and effectively.
Gather an idea of what the set-up of the conference is like by attending a day of sessions.
Possibly gain feedback from the presentation and find out what kind of things will be useful to add to the tools available.

Worked on the mark-up macros and assigned them to the buttons for each.
I modified the toolbar to take into account extra features that were needed and removed the button that wasn't needed.
I worked on a few more of the forms and set-up the layouts for each of them. I need to figure out the best way to make the information placed in the form to show up in the document. I want to use content tags but I need to figure out how to set the content field text correctly or if it is possible.
I added more functionality to each of the forms and made them work for more cases and situations.
Dr. Gannod and I ran over some of the highlights for the presentation to know what would be important to focus on and how the tool should be presented so that we can get feedback and show the advantages of what we have right now.

Attended the NINES Workshop
Presented the research to the NINES Workshop and demonstrated the way that XML can be added to literature documents using the Office Word 2007 environment.
